I agree with Kevin, Agent Knuckle saw you distill and purify your style from a chaotic whirlwind of wandering marks into a focused and directed sledgehammer of awesome. There were inklings of your progression in the Socket story, but Knuckle really brought it home. It was funny, exciting, unpredictable and full of bad ass. I thought you really handled the characters well and stretched your writing and art muscles to the outer reaches. I really hope to see you kick some more ass in this manner in 2009.
I enjoyed all the comics from you last year, but my favorite is Agent Knuckle. Your confident characters and unique storytelling go together best in it. I love being genuinely surprised by characters in comics and seeing unpredictable turns in the stories that you end up attributing to a character instead of the author. That's a mark of great storytelling and while I love seeing it in all of your longer comics, AK was the most dramatic, funny example of your skill in that area.
